Welcome
Experience a different 'way' to health and vitality.....
| Tai Chi Tai Chi (or Tai Chi Chuan) is an ancient Chinese exercise consisting of slow, relaxed movements for total self-development: for the body it is an exercise; for the mind it is a study in concentration, will power and visualization; and for the soul, it is a system of spiritual meditation. Tai Chi is also a preventative and curative branch of Chinese medicine, and the “Supreme Ultimate” system of martial arts known as a soft form martial art.
The depth to which you wish to study Tai Chi is your own personal goal. Anyone can do Tai Chi no matter what age or physical ability. Each movement can be modified to meet your specific need. |
QiGong (Chi Kung)
Chi Kung comes from the Chinese words "Chi"
meaning "Energy" and "Kung", meaning "work" or "practice". It is a
term that describes a Chinese Exercise system that focuses on
cultivating and attracting "Chi" or "lifeforce" energies. Pronounced
"Chee Gung", Chi Kung (sometimes
spelled "QiGong") is a unique Chinese exercise system. Through
individual effort, practitioners build up their health and prevent
illness by combining discipline of mind, body and the body's "Chi"
(vital force). |
| Meditation Gentle meditations based on Daoist and Buddhist breathing exercises as well as ‘focus’ techniques such as ‘candle meditation’ and ‘sound meditation’. Experience inner peace and contentment just by controlling the mind, without having to depend at all upon external conditions. |
Reiki Healing
Reiki (pronounced rāy.kē) is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen energy force flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If our energy is low or blocked, we are more likely to get sick. But if it is high and flowing freely, we can maintain our health and well-being.
This simple, non-invasive healing system works to promote the health and well being of the entire physical, emotional and spiritual body. Therefore, it is truly a system of attaining wholeness of Mind, Body and Spirit.
Reiki is a specific type of subtle energy work in which healing is performed by light touch of the hands, allowing the flow of energy from a limitless source to the patient via the Reiki practitioner. Reiki is truly a complementary care and reinforce the effect of traditional medicine.
